Moving through the last few days of Black History Month (a hurried 28 Day reflection of 400 years of Black History), and headed toward Women's History Month, some believe either (or both) are unnecessary and possibly divisive, because "it is all American History." I was a good history student, but during primary and secondary education, I must have been absent the day the system taught Black History, and also the day they taught Women’s History.
During the days ahead, please consider it your right and privilege to celebrate what you may have missed.
