As a child, I often spent hours at the Liberty Theatre in Cleveland’s Glenville area, marveling at war heroes, including those of the Red Ball Express; none of whom looked liked me. Years later, I discovered one of those heroes was my uncle, Mark Ford, who lived less than two miles from me.
